Ukraine Kicks Off the 2026 Junior European Fencing Championships in Tbilisi: Schedule and Team Roster
Everything you need to know before the Junior European Fencing Championships.
The 2026 Junior European Fencing Championships kick off in Georgia. The competition runs February 24–27 in Tbilisi — the same venue that hosted the 2025 senior World Fencing Championships.
In total, over four competition days, individual and team events will take place across all three weapons — épée, sabre, and foil — among junior men and women. Ukraine will be represented by four athletes in each category.
Earlier, the national team closed out the Cadet European Championships in that same Tbilisi with three medals. Silver in team épée went to Yelyzaveta Horbachuk, Alina Dmytruk, Marharyta Anharska, and Polina Spyrydonova, while Horbachuk and Velychko won bronze and silver, respectively, in the individual events.

Team Ukraine's Roster for the 2026 Junior European Championships
Last year, Ukraine finished second in the overall medal table, winning two golds and three bronzes. Among this year's competitors are five medalists from Euro 2025 — Alina Dmytruk, Emily Konrad, Anna Maksymenko, Viktoriia Korotchenko, and Maiia Velychko.
