Kyiv to Host the Al Mor 2026 Fantasy Festival: What We Know About the Event

The Al Mor festival is happening for the eighth time.
Kyiv will host the annual fantasy festival Al Mor, taking place February 14 and 15 at Stereo Plaza. The DeTalks team was informed of this by the event's organizers.
Al Mor is a project created to develop the fantasy genre in Ukrainian society and give creative people a platform for self-expression. The event has already taken place seven times since 2017, bringing together cosplayers, artists, authors, and board and video game makers.
Program and Contests
During the event, there will be costumed stage contests and competitions among cosplayers, in the following categories.
- 'Cosplay Runway'
- 'Duo Cosplay Runway'
- 'Group Cosplay Runway'
- 'Original'
- 'Princess in Armor'
The literary stage will also host a cosplay contest for book-fantasy characters, along with awards for the best short fantasy prose and poetry. Full contest rules and entry requirements are available here.
Beyond performances on the main cosplay stage, there will be lectures, open wrapping sessions, a meet-and-greet with Olena Liubenko, translator of Stephen King's book series, and other interactive activities in the artist alley and game zone. Additionally, there will be a two-day team quest for territory control called 'Capture.'
Tickets for the festival are available here. According to organizers, ticket quantities are limited, and prices on the day of the event will be higher.
