Oleksandr Bondarev Reaches the Italian F4 Rookie Podium for the Second Time This Season: Round Recap

The Ukrainian scored four points for the round.

Ukrainian driver Oleksandr Bondarev won the rookie battle in the first race of the Italian Formula 4 round in Mugello, held July 11–13.

At the Monza round, meanwhile, Bondarev retired from all three races and scored no points, but led the pack for the first time this season.

How Oleksandr Bondarev Fared at the Fourth Italian F4 Round

• In the first qualifying session, Bondarev finished ninth, and in the second, sixth. As a result, Oleksandr started Saturday's first race from P9.
• At the start, the Ukrainian gained one position and held onto it through the restart. Bondarev finished eighth, reaching the rookie podium in first place among rookies.
• In the second race, the Williams Academy member started sixth but dropped to 10th right at the start. After the restart, Oleksandr began rapidly losing positions due to technical trouble with the car. As a result, Bondarev finished the second race 17th.
• The Ukrainian started the third race by losing one position at the start and dropped to seventh. Midway through the race, while attacking Maksimilian Popov, Oleksandr's car was spun around. As a result, Bondarev finished 26th.

After four rounds of the championship, Bondarev has scored 17 points and holds provisional 19th place in the drivers' standings. Among rookies, meanwhile, Oleksandr is sixth.
