How Oleksandr Bondarev Fared at the E4 Championship Round in Le Castellet

  • The Ukrainian finished practice in eighth and fourth place, respectively. In the first qualifying session, Oleksandr posted the third-fastest time, but a penalty dropped him to the top six. After the second qualifying session, a similar situation followed: the Ukrainian fell from eighth to 16th.
  • The first race didn't go Bondarev's way: battling with Edu Robinson, the driver went off track. As a result, Oleksandr finished Saturday's race 26th.
  • Starting 16th, the Ukrainian gained three positions right at the start of the second race. By the midpoint of the race, Oleksandr had gained another position, ultimately finishing, in the end, 12th.
  • The weekend's third race largely ran under safety car conditions. Still, the Ukrainian gained one position on the first lap, then picked up another later in the race. The driver finished fifth.

Kenzo Craigie became the championship leader after the second round of the series, building a 14-point gap over his closest rival — Luka Sammalisto. Bondarev, meanwhile, dropped to seventh place with 76 points to his name.
