Oleksandr Bondarev Confirms His 2026 Formula 4 Campaign: Which Team He'll Race For
The Ukrainian driver extends his partnership with Williams Racing.
Ukrainian Williams Racing Driver Academy pilot Oleksandr Bondarev has confirmed his participation in three Formula-level championships in 2026. Details on the driver's plans for the coming season were shared with DeTalks by Oleksandr's team.
According to Bondarev, in 2026 he will compete in F4 Middle East (4 rounds), Italian F4 (7 rounds), and the E4 Championship (3 rounds). The 16-year-old Ukrainian will race for this year's Constructors' Cup-winning team — Prema Racing, with which he has already signed a contract.
In his debut Formula 4 season, Bondarev previously competed in Italian F4 and the E4 Championship. In the main championship, Oleksandr finished 10th among all drivers and third among rookies. In E4, meanwhile, the Ukrainian finished seventh overall and became rookie champion.
"The rookie title in E4 [Championship] is a good result, but I should have done better in the overall standings. A debut season is about learning and gaining experience. [But] the best moment of the season was, of course, the win in Imola," Bondarev commented on his year.
After wrapping up the 2025 competitive season, the driver has already tested with Prema Racing in Monza, Imola, and Misano. The driver also noted upcoming work on the Williams Racing simulator in Grove and his participation in the F1 GP Trophy Race in Abu Dhabi, December 5–7, during the Formula 1 race weekend.
For next season, the driver named several goals, including winning the overall championship and maximizing points toward his Super License.
The 2026 Italian Formula 4 season will kick off May 10 in Misano and wrap up October 25 in Mugello. The E4 Championship will run from July 5 to October 11.
