Oleksii Sereda also improved on his qualifying score.

Ukrainians Oleksii Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko wrapped up the final of the first and only stop of the 2026 Diving World Cup season. The individual 10m platform competition took place overnight into March 1 in Montreal, Canada.

As a result, Hrytsenko posted a personal-best 462.20 points to finish fourth, while Sereda improved on his qualifying result, finishing sixth. Both athletes secured their spot in the Diving World Cup Super Final, taking place in May in Beijing.

Earlier in qualifying, Hrytsenko and Sereda scored 432.65 and 423.25 points, respectively, finishing eighth and tenth. The best result at that stage belonged to China's Lian Junjie, with 500.60 points.

How the Diving World Cup Final in Montreal Went for Sereda and Hrytsenko

  • Each athlete had a six-dive program in the final, with varying difficulty coefficients.
  • For instance, neither Ukrainian landed their second dive — the program's 'priciest,' with a 3.7 coefficient. Hrytsenko scored 74 points for it, and Sereda 59.20, putting them in provisional sixth and eighth, respectively.
  • After the next pair of dives, the athletes swapped positions — Oleksii moved into the top six, while Mark dropped to seventh, right behind his teammate.
  • The fifth dive was Sereda's best of the final and secured him fifth place. But his final climb to the platform didn't go well — Oleksii dropped back to sixth, finishing with a total of 451.50 points.
  • For Hrytsenko, on the other hand, the final dive was his most successful — earning Mark 91.80 points and moving him from seventh to fourth overall. With that, the athlete not only improved his personal best score (462.20), but also posted his best-ever World Cup result: fourth place.
