FANCON Announces the Largest Prize Pool in the History of Ukraine's Cosplay Competitions

The Cosplay Show at FANCON 2026 will feature two grand prizes and a record prize pool.

At the FANCON 2026 pop culture festival, taking place June 6–7 at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv, organizers will award a prize pool of 240,000 hryvnias — the largest in the history of Ukraine's cosplay competitions. Event organizers told DeTalks.

According to organizers, the event is expected to draw over 40,000 visitors, and the festival's footprint will grow by 8,000 square meters compared to 2025, reaching 27,000 square meters.

New Locations and Stages

In total, FANCON 2026 will feature seven stages hosting shows, presentations, tournaments, and exhibitions, including:

  • the Main Stage with the Cosplay & Cover Dance Show;
  • the Music Stage (Jager Stage);
  • the Lecture Stage;
  • the Comics Stage for publishers;
  • the UA Creators Stage for YouTube and Twitch bloggers;
  • the Red Bull ClassiCS esports stage, with tournaments, shows, and presentations from gaming and creative communities;
  • the UA Dub&Sub Ukrainian-language dubbing stage.

The festival will also feature an Artist Alley, a wrestling zone, a sector for tabletop and role-playing games, photo zones, and an open-air food court. What's more, FANCON 2026 will introduce, for the first time, a Cosplayer Alley, where cosplayers can meet guests, show off their costumes, and sell their own merch.

A Charitable Goal, Building on Last Year's Success

Last year, FANCON participants and guests raised over 1.5 million hryvnias for electronic warfare systems for the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, and over two million more for other charitable causes.

This year, organizers will again raise funds for the needs of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. The fundraiser will be run together with blogger OLDboi and the 'Sviy za Svoho' charity foundation.

FANCON 2025: How It Went

  • Last year, FANCON drew over 36,000 visitors over two days, with guests from abroad including actors Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who), Mickey Lewis (Star Wars), and official Witcher cosplayer Maul Cosplay.
  • Director Alan Badoev and designer Olha Navrotska also unveiled the 'Chronicles of Power' universe featuring Oleh 'Fahot' Mykhailiuta, and writer Max Kidruk presented a board game based on his novel 'Colony.'
  • Last year, over 900 people took part in the Cosplay & Cover Dance Show, 93 artists were featured at the Artist Alley, and 38 Ukrainian bloggers appeared in the UA YouTube sector.

Tickets for FANCON 2026 are available here.

Children up to age seven can attend the festival for free when accompanied by someone over 16 (up to two children per adult), and combat veterans can buy tickets at a 50% discount during festival days.
