The 'white and blues' have wrapped up their UEFA Youth League campaign.

Kyiv's Dynamo U19 lost 2:6 to their peers from Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Youth League round of 16. The match took place February 4 at Mardan Stadium in Antalya.

Earlier, in the second round, the 'white and blues' beat Sweden's Brommapojkarna (3:1 on aggregate), and in the third round they got past Scotland's Hibernian (2:1 over two legs).

Dynamo Kyiv U19 vs. Atlético Madrid U19: Match Report

  • In the match's opening minutes, Atlético Madrid striker Sergio Esteban sent the ball from the left flank toward the top-right corner of Dynamo's goal, but missed. But in the 16th minute, the 'Mattress Makers' did open the scoring. Striker Sergio Esteban scored with a header off an assist from midfielder Pablo Barrios.
  • In the 26th minute, Daniel Muñoz took a dangerous free kick against Kyiv's Dynamo, but goalkeeper Viacheslav Surkis managed to save it. Soon after, the Spaniards worked another set piece, and defender Gil Rodríguez did find the back of the 'white and blues' net — 0:2.
  • At the start of the second half, Dynamo's Bohdan Redushko cut into the visitors' lead. The midfielder ran down the left flank into the box, cut inside, and shot into the bottom corner of the Spaniards' goal.
  • But Kyiv conceded again right away, in the 55th minute. Atlético's left winger Gonzalo Gross received the ball in Dynamo's box and finished accurately.
  • In the 68th minute, the Spanish goalkeeper cleared the ball from his own goal almost all the way to the opposite box, where Kyiv defender Ohorodnik lost his duel with striker Puente — 1:4. Puente then completed a brace within ten minutes of coming onto the field.
  • Daniel Muñoz contributed to Kyiv's rout in the 79th minute, finding the far corner of Surkis's goal. In the closing minutes, though, Bohdan Redushko completed a brace of his own for Dynamo Kyiv. The match finished 2:6.

With that, Dynamo won't continue their UEFA Youth League campaign in the 2025/26 season. Last year, the Kyiv side also reached the round of 16, where they lost to Atalanta on penalties.
